This is my handbag cake which I entered at Cake International at the weekend. Completely overwhelmed to have been awarded Gold for it.
The bag is based on one of my own with some detail changes and a bit of bling. The keys are made from flower paste and are copies of my front door key (maybe I should try them in the lock!) and the keyring is based on one I used to have and loved but it broke long ago unfortunately.
The board was a labour of love with all the different sections added bit by bit and eventually ‘grouted’ with royal icing.
