I made this cake as a surprise for one of my friends birthday. Aloma loves gardening so I couldn’t think of anything else to make.The cake is a ribbon cake. It had a layer of strawberry flavored butter cake and a layer of lemon flavored butter cake. I frosted the cake with vanilla butter cream.
I covered the cake with fondant.The flowers, pots and the gardening tools are made with a mix of fondant and gum paste.Royal icing was used to pipe the stems and grass.
