This is my first actual paid cake done just a little less than a year ago and it was for a fundraiser for kids with cancer. I practiced the cake twice before getting it right due to internal structure. Everything is edible except telescope and eye patch as I had run out of time to do them in gumpaste. I am very proud of this cake as everything was made by hand, no molds were used, and everything was hand painted. I feel my skills are getting better with each and every cake but for me this will probably always be my favorite cake.
