This cake was baked for my friend, Donna, from Boston, USA. Her friend in South Africa was getting married and she wanted to surprise her with a wedding cake!
She had no idea of the preference so we baked carrot, chocolate and fruit cakes.
The color scheme was yellow, red, orange and blue. I had all the colors covered with flowers except for the blue and decided to make the blue Hummingbird.
Donna was impressed and the only memento she took back to the States from the wedding, was the Hummingbird!
