This cake was made for my best friend’s 30th birthday. She loooooves Sarah Jessica Parker and all things “Carrie Bradshaw”. She saw a cake made by Rose Sen that she loved and asked me to make it with some tweaks. She wanted 2 shoe box cakes, pearls & bows, lots of pink, a shoe made from sugar and the opera sunglasses Carrie wears in the 2nd Sex & the City Movie. I loved making this cake! The shoe box cakes are paneled, sugar tag hand calligraphed, logos are hand painted, shoe took about 2 weeks to put together and dry. The cake itself was a moist vanilla cake with a dulce de leche buttercream and Heath bar crunch! I wish I took a slice of it home with me after the party!
