I made this cake for my grandmothers 80th surprise birthday. The bird house is gingerbread covered in fondant, that way she can have it as a keepsake for years to come :) The apple blossom branch was a first for me. I only broke 3 out of 50 so that wasn’t to bad! The stamens were made with thread, the ends dipped in sugar glue then dipped in polenta. The flowers themselves were made with fondant (tylose added). The bluebirds were also fondant. Thanks for looking :)
