When I made my mother’s cake in February I had hopes of attempting “fabric” or “ruffled” flowers. The attempts were made, but after a period I gave up and just went my own way! After playing around, I found my way by thinning edges, using texture mats and making buttons by hand (there are further details on my fb page). (The 4th picture is my attempt/take on dahlia’s). :)
