This cake was for a drummer’s 30th birthday. The snare drum was a chocolate cake with peanut buttercream, covered in marshmallow fondant. The cymbal and drumsticks are made from fondant. I used the brands of drum and cymbals that he plays, and the drumsticks have his bands name on them which were all hand painted on.

I also picked up a portable airbrush that I got to use for this cake, first time ever …. I did a silver and black snare drum to match the drummer’s real set. I had so much fun with the airbrush, can’t wait to use it again.
