I made this cake for a ladies tea party at our church. This is an 8" lemon cake with lemon curd filling. It is covered in butter cream with fondant/gumpaste decorations. I also made some matching cupcakes. I tried Jessiecakes upside down method of applying the butter cream. This technique worked very well for me. I also used Petalsweets bud and hydrangea tutorials to make the buds and hydrangeas. My hydrangeas, however were not wired.
