I made this cake for Josh as part of Operation Sugar (NZ version of Icing Smiles)
All Edible & sits on a 26" Board weighing somewhere between 23-25KG
Picture Shows Josh with his Cake and another shows a toy with cake that I used for inspiration toy is 30cm long
a Huge thanks also to Sarah from “The Cake Tin” drove across town when I couldn’t find my confectioners glaze with her bottle for me to borrow to glaze his eyes & teeth
My favourite thing is his butt, the whole time I was modelling it I was singing his butt song LOL

Jo!!! Oh my word…. This is absolutely brilliant! How fabulous of Sarah to come to your aid, such a wonderful gesture… What a joy for young Josh…. Love his derrière… Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous! <3 xxxxx

You must never limit your challenges, instead you must challenge your limits

Thanks Cali, Sarah was such a big help I tidied up and lost glaze for a couple of days, It’s great having another decorator in town that you get on well with, especially when you can chat cake, borrow bits when you don’t have or have run out, we also send people to eachother when we are booked out

That is huge choice cake though, how do you the name?

Thanks KiwicakeBloke, I may do a quick tutorial on these as very simple & easy to do, if you follow me you will see when I post it

Yay……Donkey is Here!!! Jo he looks absolutely FABULOUS! You rock!!!!
I am so glad you let me see him….feel so special having had a sneek peek in person!
His tail and mane just finish him off to perfection. I just love his face but yeah….that bum is certainly something else too. I am only more than happy I could help with the confectioners glaze! And yes I agree it is really nice to have a fellow decorator in such close proximity who is cool and so easy to get along with <3 x

Thanks Sarah, the mane was my undoing took 2 1/2 hours to painstakingly add individual strands to it, but was the only way to get the look I was after, it’s a great system we have texting photos during the process

Oh my goodness, he is amazing and enormous! So lifelike looking! I too love his cute butt!! Love how you did Josh’s name to look like the horns on Shrek’s head!

Thanks Toni, I will add a tutorial for this in a couple of days as I’ve been asked a few time in messages over on facebook too… it’s so easy but hard to describe
