I created this cake for a little girl’s birthday using photographs of her pet dog. As the customer didn’t want a huge amount of cake I only wanted to do the head and paws but I wanted to avoid that ‘severed head’ look – hence Pickle is peaking out from under the tablecloth, waiting for crumbs to be dropped! The character is most definitely in the eyes as you can see from the shot I took before I painted them – eeeeeevilllll doggy!!!
