This cake marked a turning point in my life x I hadn’t done a cake for ten years ! Since I did my sisters wedding cake. So it was a fantastic challenge to do this cake for my brother and his wife . All the mini cakes are fruit cake as is the top tier . All individually piped free hand in two different designs. One for each guest and two if which were gluten free . The theme was Aubergine colour and the flowers were made to match the bridal bouquet . I love making flowers it’s one if my favourite things to do . Calls lilies roses and freesia complemented with ivy and rose leaves . As well as the main cake I did an individual cake each for the bride and groom the brides cake had a tiny carton of organic soya milk on it as she is known for her healthy eating and preference if organic foods. The grooms cake was an angry bird and the apple logo as he loves anything to do with apple and technology . Cakes were individually boxed and tied with ribbon and ready for all the guests to take home later that day .

Hi Jody x thanks for asking x yeah they are fruit cakes covered in marzipan and fondant then piped with royal icing – all free hand design so each one is slightly different xx
