The brief for this cake was that it was for a young at heart, fun loving 65 year old lady. She likes to travel, especially to America. She loves planning the routes to travel and is particularly fond of the Wild West.

With all of this in mind, I immediately knew that I wanted a terracotta base to act as the Red Dessert with the travelling cases on top. I added a few finishing touches such as the cowboy hat, cowboy boots and map of the States to tie in with the theme. I also added a few cacti to inject a bit of colour and interest to the overall look. I absolutely adore this cake!!
