So, this was my attempt at doing some kind of justice to Royal Bakery’s gorgeous golf cake! Hers had an additional tier below of course (that honestly, I was kind of bummed I didn’t get to do!) but my folks just didn’t need quite that much cake, so I left off the bottom of her design. Lemon pound cake with vanilla buttercream filling, covered in fondant with all fondant accents. The grass is buttercream, colored piping gel water hazard and crushed graham cracker sand trap. I loved making the fondant trees via Royal Bakery’s method – worked like a charm! :)
