My first attempt at a 3D sculpted cake. Made this for my little granddaughter’s 7th birthday. This is Cakey Cat, her favorite Gabby’s Dollhouse character. He is a cupcake. His head represents the icing & the bottom portion of his body is the cupcake. It took way more cake to make his head & even with proper support, the bottom had a difficult time carrying the weight of the head. It was a learning experience for sure. My granddaughter was very happy with it though, her friends thought he was adorable, & that’s all that matters. Cake is donut flavored (used Sugar Geek’s recipe), white chocolate ganache, vanilla buttercream, fondant decorations, rice krispy treats for baker’s hat. As always, I thank you for looking.
