A Simple Wedding Cake

Made this cake for my bother-in-law’s wedding in 1993. The bride wanted something simple not too elaborate so she chose this cake from a Wilton wedding cake book. A moist yellow cake done in oval pans, iced in buttercream and decorated in the sotas technique, and silk flowers. ( Bride’s choice not mine)

simple??? Oh no, el trabajon que da hacer esa infinidad de sotas… mucha paciencia. Igual, esta bonito el diseno, bastante clasico!

Gracias Regina. Si es verdad, es mucho trabajo y se toma mucho tiempo! Ya casi nunca decoro con sotas porque tengo “tennis elbow” y “carpal tunnel” y es muy doloroso!
