This cake is based on another Ghibli favorite of mine – Howl’s Moving Castle.
Definitely a challenge to get it standing up like that! the underneath is supported with a bit of cardboard.

I used handmade white chocolate fondant to cover this cake and create the decorations, colored with gel food coloring. I painted on more details with some gel colors as well, and used a bit of powder color to dust for some shading. Wires support the pipes sticking out the top, the little “wings” in the back, and the “legs” of the castle.

The cake base is banana peanut butter.
