“Children’s Classic Books Dreamland Challenge” contemporary version, is the 2nd edition of the challenge featuring literary works for children written from 1900 onwards as a way to rescue children’s reading as a universal treasure for children. Hosted by Carolina Wachter.
This challenge is the second I have the honor to participate and this time was about to create a piece inspired by a children’s story or book with a twist as in my work there was a character that helped in developing the story.
My inspiration came from Frank Baum, author of The Wizard of Oz.
The story chronicles the adventures of a young farm girl named Dorothy in the magical Land of Oz, after she and her pet dog Toto are swept away from their Kansas home by a cyclone. As the adventures of Dorothy reminded me of Alice, I thought of making a cross over with a little character that helps her and her friends through Oz. This little fellow is the rabbit that follows Alice in her adventures in Wonderland.
