A Rose for Ryoko.
Ryoko is a cookie friend “met” online four years ago. We share the same huge passion for cookies and she started a sweet tradition of exchanging virtual cookies on our birthdays. So I made this monogram cookie in occasion of her birthday. When we met I was still living in Italy and she lived in Japan, but we had the chance to meet twice during these years. Once because she had a stop over in Bangkok for few hours, where I currently live and the second time because I made a detour to her city during my trip in Japan. We then had the chance to exchange real cookies.

The needlepoint grid is not piped but it is edible lace, made using the SugarVeil “Needlepoint Mat“ and Icing.
