This was my piece for the fabulous Art Nouveau collaboration organised by Sharon Siriwadena -I chose this piece because I loved the fluidity of the lines and the soft organic lines of the fabric drape – I wish I had thought to ‘light up’ the rice paper stained glass though. My lady was made using a wire skeleton onto which I added flower paste ‘bones’ and then used modelling chocolate to ‘squish’ and ‘sculpt’ her body.

I’ve learnt from seeing this on bigger screens that tiny flaws become BIG flaws and I need to think about that more in the future and ‘blush’ them out more carefully! whoops!
