This cake is probably a bit of a milestone for me, it’s my first big step in defining my own personal style. It incorporates many of the things I love, sugar flowers, royal icing piping and dark, moody colours.
It’s really difficult to not second guess or doubt what you have created but I’m learning to trust the development process and have faith in what I put out there for others.
I’ve also learnt that black royal icing never really sets!!
