This was my contribution for “Magnificent Bangladesh-An international cake Art Collaboration”.

Through my Sugar Art, my intention was to show Rural Bangladesh and its tradition. Therefore I choose Dheki.Dheki a wooden device for husking paddy to make rice, the staple food of Bangladesh. Husking machines and automatic rice mills are now used in the country but dhekis are still in use in large numbers in villages. I wanted to prestent the bengali tradition of husking paddy to make rice as it might not be seen anymore in couple of years.
