The “If loving you is wrong” shoot was inspired by the wedding inspiration board provided to us. For me the quote “If loving you is wrong" what came to mind is… “then I don’t want to be right”. The person in love is willing to take all the risks because of love he/she feels for the other person. For my creation I wanted to have a feel of forbidden love, lust, sexiness. Therefore creating a moody, dark and sexy, classy and sophisticated with plenty of texture. The colors I used were greys, black, gold, and burgundy with dark green. To the top tier, a shiny gold which is hiding underneath a very modern stone like crackled texture. A rock/stone like fondant, because a good love is as hard a s a rock, all a while bringing stone roses and leaves through the cracked surface within the embedded stone like finish; then painting non-toxic gold within the cracks. The second tier down, is a black covered cake, stenciled a beautiful pattern using royal icing on a stencil bought from Caking It Up. The patterned was stenciled on top of edible gold foil pieces, bringing a hint of gold and sexiness, out thought the pattern. Next, the third tier down, is covered in white and wrapped a grey embossed and charming tufted pattern. Then an irregular edge with an aged baroque rose pattern, using a variety of molds and a painted splash of gold, wrapped in a black very sexy edible lace. The bottom tier was covered with a few layers of textured ombre from whites to gray, that had a paper like ripped edge finish. The design was embellished with a couple of beautiful ombre burgundy roses and pink buds created with a light center. Also I embellished the design with pink, beige and white flowers buds, and dark green foliage. The many layers of sexiness, and textures and beautiful colors signifying the tremendous love for a person.
