The inspiration for this cake was a black & aubergine gothic wedding, I pulled inspiration from all elements that were given to me including an invitation with tree branches & birds, a ruffled tulle headdress and more. Everything is fondant and the branches are made with floral wire wrapped in fondant. I used a bead mold for the bottom tier and ruffled each layer on top and bottom. The middle tier was used with a bark impression mat then brushed with a mix of purple color and vodka to add depth and color and the bird was hand cut.
