Hi! I just wanted to say that I think your cakes are absolutely fantastic!! Especially for just starting a short while ago – Great job!!! Also, I saw you were from Kentville, NS – I live in Pennsylvania now, but I lived near Kentville for several years while I was going to university. Small world! :)

Thank you smokwa … your cakes are awesome as well. Acadia ? Did you live in Wolfville? Did you come Canada to study or are you Canadian? I love living here, but certainly would love to do some traveling someday. Yes, it is a very small world. I have run into a few people on here from Nova Scotia.
Cheers and thanks for your feedback,

Thank you!! I started in 2011 as well and I totally agree that YouTube is the best – I’m always on there looking for tips and tricks :) And to answer your questions – Yes, Acadia! I lived on campus while I went there, but frequently went to New Minas and Kentville for shopping trips. Sadly, I’m not Canadian, but my family always tended to go to different places up north for vacations. We loved it so much growing up that my sister ended up going to UPEI and I went to Acadia :) I really miss it up there – the people were so nice :) Well, it’s nice to meet you!!

Very nice to meet you too Sarah … perhaps someday you will get back to the Valley … honestly if you have been gone very long you would not even recognize New Minas … many many many new stores J:~D

I seen were u comment on moist cake u use sourcream how much do use I dnt want to put much and u can taste it

Hi Rose, I use 1/2 sour cream 1/2 butter milk in my recipes. It makes the cake super moist but dense enough to hold up for stacking and carving. I find it’s an all round cake that I go back to over and over again, thanks for asking :)

Thanks do u make urs from scratch or use a bix mix

When doing that do u use a box mix id so do I omit or less anything thank u
