Stephen loves country music, especially Vince Gill, so this cake was created to help make his 60th birthday celebration special. The bottom tier is chocolate, filled and frosted with vanilla buttercream and finished with milk chocolate modeling chocolate bark. The top tier is fresh strawberry cake, filled and frosted with vanilla buttercream and finished with white chocolate ganache, all of his favorite flavors. This was a (near) last minute order, so I was lucky to still have Dolly and Willie from a previous collaboration. Although damaged from a fall, I was able to rework and restore both and add them to Stephen’s cake. The top tier also features pictures of a lot of country music stars, as well as the figures of Vince Gill and Stephen. The Black Eyed Susans made with Sugarin Flower Paste by Arati Mirji.
