It’s been a while since I last posted here…

James Dean, the “Rebel Without a Cause”, died from a car accident when he was only 24. Despite of his early death and his short career, he is considered a Hollywood legend and a symbol of a generation. This was my way to pay tribute to him. The cake was made for @Gone But Not Forgotten collaboration, a Cake Collective collaboration organized by my friend @Sharon Siriwardena.

James Dean and his Porsche Super Speedster were both painted on sugar paste over a brick wall effect. It was the first time I made a dry painting, using dust colours.
