When my granddaughter announced she wanted an unicorn cake my heart sunk, the images she showed were the cakes I’ve made many times before , I suggested wings and she liked that idea , open eyes was not as popular but she let me do it anyway the rest evolved . I imagined the unicorn with a garland of wild flowers or a daisy chain around it’s neck but it didn’t have a neck ; however it did have a horn ……. So here she is my magical fairy unicorn buttercream cake with meringue wings hand painted eyes and tiny sugar paste flowers. I hope you love her as much as I do .
