Recently we had Guyfawkes night or Bonfire night if you prefer here in England.
It’s an interesting and unique celebration that is very historic.
I was asked to make a cake for a party my band and I were actually gigging at.
The lady asked for a traditional effigy to burn.
Now when I was a child we made an effigy with a pillow case filled with newspaper for a head.( with primitive maker pen features) arms and legs made of newspaper filled with tights and old clothes tied with rope.
We would then pop him in a pram and walk around asking for penny for the guy and on November the 5th he would be burned on the Bonfire.
