The bride wanted the cake to be about her husband who is ex-parachute regiment and also has a Poppy tattoo on his arm along with his parachute wings. We designed the cake together. Everything is had made with sugar paste Poppies, hand cut silhouettes and painted Poppy field. Painting is not my forte and I was very nervous about that part of the cake. I also had the pleasure of attending the wedding and the groom was over the moon (as was the bride) with the end result.
