Vintage Radio cake

The Care home my Mum’s living at are having a 1940’s style Garden Fete today.
So I’ve made a cake to take along for them to either raffle off or for them to share at tea time.
The song is one my Mum sang to me a lot when I was little and I know it’s a popular song from those days.

Yes it went very well! They all had an amazing day, singing to all the old war songs. And although I think it was just coincidence because they didn’t say anything, but just as we were all singing ’they’l be bluebirds over’, and old green war plane flew over from Bruntingthorpe aerodrome near by!! PERFECT xxxxxxxxx
