This cake was done for a young man through Icing Smiles. Because his family was traveling a long distance (18 hours) by car for his birthday, the Cat cake is a dummy, and the serving cake is a sheet cake made up of 1/3 dark chocolate, 1/3 strawberry and 1/3 vanilla-almond, frosted in vanilla-almond buttercream. I am happy to report that both made it to the destination in great condition. Because The Cat in the Hat cake was a dummy, Cody was able to keep the whole thing as a souvenir.
