The Pet falcon-The Arabian nights collaboration
I am so excited to share my creation made for the Arabian nights Collaboration- A beautiful and magical theme.
My inspiration is the faithful Pet falcon from one of the stories of Arabian nights. The Pet Falcon is a very faithful and loyal pet, but gets killed at the hands of the same Sultan whom he is trying to save from drinking the poisonous water from a lake. The Sultan gets angry when the falcon knocks off the cup which contains the poisonous water and in a rage, kills it. The story reflects how we humans are so caught up with ourselves that we fail to recognise traits like faithfulness and loyalty.
I am often asked as to how the realistic flowers I make, can be used to decorate a cake. Here I have tried to show how the Jane Vine clusters have been used as hanging chandeliers under the back drop of a starry night. And the falcon is my humble attempt at modelling- a skill I am struggling with, but trying to get better at -being inspired by all the fabulous modelling experts around me :)
The top tier has a hand painted Mandala . The Falcon has been made using Saracino modelling paste. Colours used are magic colours and Sugarin Colours.
