I started creating this giant 11-pound M&M about a month ago … and then life hit!

My son James went in for surgery and, while on the operating table, he contracted a hospital-borne infection that proved highly resistant to most antibiotics.

Everything was put on hold to cope with the family emergency. Eventually, after 3 lomg weeks in hospital with my son, I decided to finish making the giant M&M on the hospital grounds so that we could give it to one of my son’s favourite nurses.

This episode has a few tears but there is a happy ending :)
