This was for my brother and a story that goes back to my childhood… he went sea fishing one Sunday and he caught two codling . He brought them home and the next day at work he thought continuously about how he should cook them when he got home… unfortunately that wasn’t to be because our mum had cooked them for mine and my sisters tea… needless to say it remains in his memory and that is the reason I made this cake for his 70th birthday.
