This was made for a very special 30 year old with cerebral palsy. I got to the stage where the cakes were made and prepared with ganache ready for decorating when the customer phoned to say that they had to cancel the party due to the snow. She took the cakes as they were and I promised that I would re-do it all again if they could re-schedule the party. They did and I did and although I finished the cake and the customer was over the moon with it, her daughter could not make her own party as she was too poorly. She’s much better now after a fortnight in hospital. I’m sure she got to see the cake before it got taken to the party.
It was vanilla sponge with vanilla buttercream, strawberry jam and coated in white chocolate ganache.
