The inspiration for the cake was taken from Valentine’s Day, also called Saint Valentine’s Day or the Feast of Saint Valentine. it is also inspired from the arrows that Cupid is supposed to fire from his bow, which cause the person struck to fall in love. Cupid’s arrow struck Daphne at a time when she thought she was past all that sort of thing. No-one is entirely immune to Cupid’s arrow.
“The cake is inspired by the passion of two love birds sitting on the tree, who are struck by the cupid’s arrow. Now after falling in love everything around them has changed…the top tier represents the rain which is turned into a cloud showering love. The red colour hearts shows the passion as they fall in love.
Middle tier represents the tree on which they are sitting which is now all pink and rosy and beautiful. The tree’s branch is now the cupid’s arrow.
The bottom tier is the life from there on… the ruffles represent the happiness in their lives after falling in love, they smoothly go through all ups and down together in their prosperous world. The ombere effect on the cake represents that at every stage their love is growing stronger and more intense.”
