The manticora is a mythical creature, a kind of chimera with a head and body of a lion and a tail formed by spines, able to hurl poisonous spines to make the prey helpless. Sometimes the manticore can have dragon or feathered wings. The real name would be martikhoras (from the Persian mardkhora, “eat men”)
If, on the other hand, someone struggles with the manticore at a distance, he, raising his tail, starts to dart his darts, as if from a bow, against the opponent who is facing him. The manticore succeeds in hurling its darts up to a hundred feet away and any living being is struck by a certain death. His stings measure a foot and are as thick as a very thin reed, after they have been launched they grow again.
I decided to make my albino Mantigora with feathered wings, mighty and proud!
Very nice!
