Welcome to The Butterfly Project. Around a year ago I decided to start a collaboration to honor those dealing with Epidermolysis Bullosa. Those born with Epidermolysis Bullosa are often called “Butterfly Children” because as the analogy goes, their skin is as fragile as the wings of a butterfly.

I am deeply honored to be one of so many wonderfully talented cake artist that decided to take on this project, and so proud to help for such a worthy cause

I made a bandaged cake decorated with beautiful delicate sugar flowers and a blue butterfly, as I wanted to make everyone see that inside those bandages there is beauty and innocence that flood out thru them.
