I must admit, when I was asked to make a Clash of Clans cake with a Hogrider on the top, I hadn’t a clue what it was. So after lots of Pinterest searches and internet searches I finally found what I was looking for. So I set to work making the hogrider. He, and his hog was fairly simple to make and was a matter of breaking it down and working on one section at a time. Made from The Cake Duchess Modelling Paste and using Progel colours he came together fairly well.
The cake was for a young lads and he requested chocolate ( of course) and covered in a gorgeous milk chocolate ganache. Then small panels of fencing was placed all around the cake and marked to represent wood and the grass laid on top. The boulders were created using white and black fondant, kneaded slightly to make a marble effect and the arrows are cocktail sticks covered in fondant..
