Japanese Spring

My last cake I made for the May/June Floral Couture issue of American Cake Decorating Magazine. This time I wanted to create something more elegant and dramatic. I was inspired by Christian Dior’s Haute Couture show in spring/summer 2003, which was influenced by traditional Japanese clothing.

The flowers and the draped fabrics are made of wafer paper. 🌸🌸🌸
