A fun little project. I have been in love with the Alexander McQueen ‘Alien’ shoes since I first laid eyes on them and here is my sugar shoe inspired by that design. They are made free hand, slowly built over a period of a month. Starting off as white it took me some time to decide what colour to airbrush them once they were finished. Thanks to the helpful advice from Anita (Vintique), Cheryl (Sugarpatch) and Kathy (Kath’s Cakes) I chose metallic orange and played around with shading to give pewter accents: airbrushed neon orange and deep orange mixed with gold and bronze sheen, then rubbed with mango and orange lustre dusts.
