For this cake I was inspired by a traditional story “The Three Wise of the Orient”. An ancient history counts as Christmas Day, the three kings saw a star in the sky that led them to de baby Jesus.
When they arrived, each of the kings offered the child the most valuable gift of each of their land.
Melchor offered him gold, frankincense from Gaspar and myrrh from Baltasar.
Om January 6th, in my country, we celebrate the “Day of Kings”, a very special day, in wich all children receive gifts weeks before they have asked the kings in his letters.
The kings visit the homes of all children and leave them, under the tree, a lot of gifts for the next morning to enjoy.
There is only one condition, you can not stay awake, if the Kings find a child awake they will go without leaving any gifts. It is without doubt one of the mos special moments of Christmas.
A magical and full of hope moment that I wanted to reflect in my cake.
