My all-edible piece is a fondant plaque hand-painted with gel colors mixed into an opaque super-white color to make it similar to the texture of acrylic paint. It honors Cecil the Lion — the majestic beauty of Zimbabwe whose life was needlessly taken by a selfish trophy hunter in June of 2015. All trophy hunting is senseless and should absolutely be illegal (it’s hard to believe that it isn’t already). Animals do not live for our entertainment. And they certainly should not die for it. In memory of beautiful Cecil.
