A special retirement cake made for a dedicated nurse who is leaving the job after close to 40 years in the business. Chocolate hand made decorations adorn this two layer cake. It was the first time using modelling chococolate and I have to say that I loved it!!!
The top is maple cake with maple pecan buttercream filling and the bottom is vanilla. The edible "prescription " for retirement is well deserved after a wonderful career. ( I blurred the name for privacy purposes). The prescription and nurses cap were both made with edible wafer paper. A fun and useful alternative to gumpaste.
