Here is my contribution for “Tickle my bones” collaboration.
In this cake I wanted to do something different from what I usually do, I have always loved the steampunk style and I used to be inspired by that style to my piece.
Most of the cake is made of chocodant, which is a mixture of fondant and plastic chocolate, is carved by hand with the technique of clay and topped with powdered dyes and metallic dyes.
It is a disturbing piece that looks at the viewer from its pedestal, no one knows if it’s been there a few years or if it has been preserved for centuries. Maybe only a few moments someone has blown out the candle, but … who? Was there anyone else there? …
What do you think?
I love this chap!
