My woodland creation was partly inspired by Steve Harvey’s speech “Jump”, https://www.facebook.com/iplanetcaravan/videos/995830813787191/, if you have not heard it yet it’s worth a listen. In his speech he talks about that everyone should jump at lest one time before they die; to me that’s what this edible creation is about. I named him “Harvey”. Harvey is an edible chocolate maple tree in the “Fall” of his life that rips his roots free to jump and experience life before he dies.
Standing over 25 inches tall and 26 inches wide, the tree/body is composed of modeling chocolate that has been airbrushed & hand painted and sprinkled with dyed cookie crumbs to give the look of bark and moss. The wings/branches are adorned with handmade cut and painted wafer paper leaves. Accents of edible gold and copper colors were added for that extra touch of magic. ✨
