Remember the Children - Go Pink Collaboration

So privileged to be a part of this beautiful collaboration made in honour of all those ladies who battle breast cancer. My piece is dedicated to all the children whose lives are affected by this disease as their mums, grandmas and aunts go through gruelling treatments and medications. The collaboration was headed up by Shannon Davie who has worked tirelessly to bring this all together in memory of her late mum. PLEASE check out the incredible raffle prizes. Seriously worth the $5 entry!

Welcome to Go Pink, a collaboration of 30 international cake artists who’ve come together to help raise awareness and funds towards breast cancer research.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, an annual campaign designed to raise awareness of this disease that affects so many.

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women worldwide with nearly 1.7 million new cases diagnosed in 2012.
In the United States alone, more than 200,000 women get breast cancer and more than 40,000 women die from the disease each year.

In the spirit of the month we have “gone pink” and each of us has created a pink cake that features a pink ribbon. All of these cakes were created with the kind sponsorship of Satin Ice Fine Foods.

To help raise money we have assembled 3 prize packages from 15 different sponsors that will be raffled. All proceeds from the raffle will go directly to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The raffle will run throughout the month of October. Tickets are $5 each and each increment of $5 donated will count as another entry. The more money donated, the greater your chance to win! If you would like to enter or just make a donation, here is the link to the page: https://give.bcrfcure.org/fundraise?fcid=677311.

Details of the amazing cake related prizes donated by our incredibly generous sponsors can be found on the donation page. Trust us, you’ll want to win!
