I made this for a dear friend of mine. We’ve been friends since high school… going on 50 years now. (Oops, guess I kinda just gave away my age…lol) Life has caused us to drift apart on occasion over the years but we always manage to find our way back to each other. I rarely use dummy cakes & have never made a cake completely of cake dummies but 1.) She has diabetes, & 2.) I’ve been promising her one of my cakes so I thought I’d make something she could keep for a while. That’s why I’m calling it a “keepsake” cake. This is also my 1st attempt at a double barrel cake. Cake dummies are 2-6″ × 4″ covered in gumpaste w/black & silver gumpaste decorations. As always, thank you for looking.
