My first ever square cake. This is a vanilla / almond cake with strawberry cream filling and fresh strawberries, covered with butter cream and fondant. All decorations are made from fondant and gum paste. Gigi the giraffe is hand molded from gum paste

Wow was it ever humid during this creation … I now know what people are talking about when they say humid affects fondant :(

All things considered this cake turned out pretty close to my plans … I love how Gigi turned out J:~D
